A: Yeah, we get this question a lot. The cheap ones you see on Alibaba for $20-30 a unit they usually use lead acid or gel batteries that last 1-2 years max before they can't hold a charge anymore. Our StarTrek and PRO series both use LiFePO4 batteries, which are rated for 2000+ cycles. In real-world use, we're seeing 8+ year lifespans, and we back that with a 5-year warranty. The lithium batteries definitely cost more upfront, but over 5 years the total cost is actually lower because you're not replacing batteries every couple of years.
A: This is probably the #1 question we hear from Filipino clients. All our units are IP65 rated, which means they're completely dust tight and can handle heavy jets of water from any direction. We also use die cast aluminum housings, which holds up better against strong winds and salt air. That said the light itself can handle the rain, but we always recommend proper pole installation. If the pole goes down in a typhoon, no light will survive. We can provide installation guides and structural recommendations for wind load, just let us know your area's wind speed requirements.
A: For a standard 2-lane residential or local road, 60-80W is usually the sweet spot. The 80W StarTrek gives you enough brightness for traffic safety, and it's more budget-friendly than going straight to 120W. That said, if your road doesn't get much traffic at night, the 40W with PIR motion sensors might be even better ,it dims down when there's no one around, which extends battery life and saves you money over time. The right choice depends on your required lux level and how much traffic you have, so we usually ask for a quick site survey before recommending a specific model.
A: One of the biggest advantages of all-in-one solar lights is how easy they are to install. You don't need to run any cables, connect to the grid, or do any electrical work. A basic installation just needs a concrete foundation, a pole, and then you mount the light on top. Most of our clients use their own local teams .it's basically the same as putting up a regular street light pole, minus all the wiring. We provide remote video guidance if your team hasn't done it before. The only time you'd want a professional is if you're doing a large-scale project with hundreds of units, just to make sure the photometric layout is right.
A: Yep, that's no problem. All our models support CCT adjustment from 2800K to 6500K. So if you're doing a residential neighborhood or a park, you can go with 3000K warm white for a more cozy feel.
